Design Wall Monday - Week Six

Just about a year ago, I spent FOUR DAYS at a retreat and all I got done was these four blocks!!! It is a pieced baltimore album project. They are really hard, IMHO. Hard enough, that they are going to be four wall hangings/table toppers. I'm not making the rest of them! There is still some bias tape stems to add to them all, which I think will be fun. I'll show them again after I get that done.
Six for six this year on keeping up on Design Wall Monday. It is fun to cruise through all of them every week. I usually look at about 10 a session, and it seems I often find another great blog to follow! Thanks again for providing us this forum to share and learn!

Those are beautiful blocks. I have never heard of pieced baltimore blocks before. Is there a pattern, or was the pattern at the retreat? They would look great, set together medallion style, for a bed quilt.

My friend is working on that quilt and she has been at it for a few years. She says they are time consuming and she can only take so much at a setting. It's beautiful.

There is a book plus some patterns. I'll post the name of it when I come across it. My friend June did a whole quilt with the patterns and it is just beautiful. It was funny at the retreat because I am kind of "known" for getting so many things DONE while at retreats, so the fact I was only able to complete 4 blocks was weird!!

Sharon ~ These blocks are beautiful. I always find I don't accomplish very much at sew-ins because we're all so busy talking and laughing. Once, while I was assembling a Jake's Heart block I somehow managed to piece it backwards. Don't ask me how I did it as I probably couldn't do it again if I wanted to. We all had a big laugh over it. LOL

These are awesome blocks! I think you should keep making 'em! You just need to attend a few more retreats :)
