Those are beautiful blocks. I have never heard of pieced baltimore blocks before. Is there a pattern, or was the pattern at the retreat? They would look great, set together medallion style, for a bed quilt.
Very pretty blocks, I have a book on baltimore album quilt blocks, the applique ones...I like to look at the pictures, never attempted one...:)
My friend is working on that quilt and she has been at it for a few years. She says they are time consuming and she can only take so much at a setting. It's beautiful.
There is a book plus some patterns. I'll post the name of it when I come across it. My friend June did a whole quilt with the patterns and it is just beautiful. It was funny at the retreat because I am kind of "known" for getting so many things DONE while at retreats, so the fact I was only able to complete 4 blocks was weird!!
Sharon ~ These blocks are beautiful. I always find I don't accomplish very much at sew-ins because we're all so busy talking and laughing. Once, while I was assembling a Jake's Heart block I somehow managed to piece it backwards. Don't ask me how I did it as I probably couldn't do it again if I wanted to. We all had a big laugh over it. LOL
I just did some searching, and found that these are deigns by Pam Bono, called "Pieces of Baltimore". There is a book that has all these, plus more, that has caught my attention. Hmmmmmm.....
These are awesome blocks! I think you should keep making 'em! You just need to attend a few more retreats :)
