Design Wall Monday - Week Seven

It's actually Design Floor this week! This is my grandmothers flower garden project. I call it My Mother's Garden at Midnight. More current and bright florals and the black joining paths. I have been making these for a few years, a few here, a few there. All the yellow centers are the same fabric. Not sure yet how big it will end up. This is my "Olympics" project for this year. So while I'm watching the events, I'm making flowers. I'm blessed to be right near the Canadian border and my cable company carries the CBC so I get to see the Canadian, live broadcast which is great. In Olympics past I did counted cross stitch! In fact when I was at JoAnn's yesterday I ended up buying two cross stitch books and took advantage of their sale on DMC floss and added to my inventory! Those of you following my quilt every day posts, don't be surprised to start seeing some cross stitch projects appear there!

Good hand work project. I started one when I was a beginner quilter...got about 4 done and then quit. Never did pick it back up again once I found applique.

Enjoy your live coverage!

I like the black in the quilt. I think that I might try that with mine. Thanks for the inspiration.
