Leap Day 2012

Isn't this a special day? I do have a friend whose birthday is today, Happy Birthday Neta!! The weather is interesting, it is trying to snow. Actually starting to be a bit white out there, which is fine with me!

This photo is of me when I was maybe 3 years old. I like it because I can see a bit of each of my kids and my grand kids in there. And I am surely missing them all lately.

While cruising Pinterest today, I say a clever photo idea and I am going to locate a photo of everyone in the family, that I can find and make a collage of it.

Life is quiet here at the moment, with the potential for wildness! I feel kind of caught in the middle, waiting to see which way the wind will blow. While driving home from Carol's on Sunday (via Alki and yummy dinner from Spud) I was feeling a bit melancholy. As I drove through Seattle, past the U and onward north, it was the first time in almost 12 years that I felt like driving north was normal and not awkward. Just driving on Alki brought back so many memories of the last 59 years of my little life. I've written of this place in the past.

As I drove past all of the condos and small homes right on Alki, I again ask myself if living that kind of lifestyle would work for me. I'm such a neighborhood girl. But if the move occurs that might, it would be fun to look into a different lifestyle since we know it would be for only 5-7 years. And if the long distance move doesn't come through, than maybe a move to a different kind of community might be good for us.

Either way, the possibility of selling this house is becoming more of a probability. Which means I have some serious work to do IN the house and yard. Which gives me a task, which is good for me. Where to start.....

Changes do bring about such amazing thoughts. We are pretty much here to stay and that suits us fine - with two of our grandsons here we couldn't bear to move away from them. Good luck in your decision making - whether it be to a new condo community or something different - changes do keep life interesting.
